Mapping Nutrition in the 1,000 Day Window

View Fullscreen

This map provides a snapshot of how major U.S.-based non-governmental organizations are working to improve nutrition for mothers and children during the critical 1,000 day window between pregnancy and age two. The projects on the map are focused on a set of proven, cost-effective interventions that address the nutritional needs of mothers and young children during this period of time. The map focuses on 27 countries with high levels of child malnutrition where the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has concentrated its nutrition investments. Maps are available for download as images without the project-overlays.
